• Eligibility Criteria for FE Admission
  •  Eligibility for four-year degree course, (BE) admissions in Maharashtra:

Should have passed 12^th Science (HSC) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / IT / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject

1. Minimum Marks
• General Category: 45% aggregate in Physics- Maths and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / IT / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject
• Reserved Category: 40% aggregate in PCM (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) Physics- Maths and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / IT / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject
2. MHT-CET 2025 – Primary Entrance examination to seek admission in engineering courses for Maharashtra state engineering colleges with a non zero score.
3. JEE Main 2025 – Required for All India Quota.
4. Students who have done diploma and have less than 50% marks can also get admission in the First Year

• Eligibility Criteria for Direct second year Engineering (DSE) Admission

1. 1. Diploma in any stream with minimum 50% marks is eligible to get admission to direct second year degree admission in any branch.
   2. 12^th Science students with less than 45% PCM (for Open category) and less than 40% PCM (for reserved category)
   3. 12^th students of commerce or arts stream

• Eligibility Criteria for DSY Admission
  • Should have passed 2 years ITI course with minimum of 35% Marks
  • 12^th Science students with less than 45% PCM (for Open category) and less than 40% PCM (for reserved category)

• Engineering (1st Year B.E.):
  • • Passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics + Mathematics and at least one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical/Vocational subjects, Computer Science/IT, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
    • Minimum marks: General category – 45% aggregate ; Reserved categories/ EWS / – 40%  aggregate  in the subjects Physics + Mathematics and at least one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical/Vocational subjects, Computer Science/IT, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
    • Alternatively, Diploma in Engineering & Technology or B.Sc. (with Mathematics) with the specified minimum marks makes you eligible .

• Diploma (Entry into 1st Year Polytechnics):
• Requires Class 10^th pass. Alternatively, Class 12 without PCM might also be acceptable depending on the specific diploma field. (The CAP brochure provides detailed course-wise info; check the diploma eligibility section within the CAP document.)

• Direct Second Year – Engineering (Lateral Entry)

To enter directly into the second year of a B.E./B.Tech. degree, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

• Diploma route:
  • Completed a 3‑year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE/Central or State Government-approved institution
  • Minimum aggregate marks:
    • 45% for General and All‑India candidates
    • • • 40% for Reserved categories, EWS, or PwD candidates (Maharashtra State only

• B.Sc. route:
  • Passed a B.Sc. degree from a UGC-recognized university with Mathematics
  • Plus pass in HSC (Class 12)
  • Marks criteria same as above (45% / 40%)

• Direct Second Year – Diploma        

For entry into the second year of Diploma in Engineering/Technology, eligibility includes:

• Academic Qualification:
  • Passed HSC (Class 12) with Science/Technical/Vocational/MCVC stream
  • Or completed a 2‑year ITI, MCVC, or Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) program from a recognized institute
• No entrance exam like MHT-CET is required — selection is based on merit
